Safe, Supportive Learning Environment

Why Did you Choose Olin?
I chose Olin because it is very different than most other schools. Throughout high school I was very involved with FIRST robotics. I preferred learning concepts by implementing them on a robot over learning in the traditional classroom setting. When I heard about Olin's hands-on learning curriculum I knew this was where I would learn best.
What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
Olin Ultimate, Olin Baja, Franklin W. Olin Players (Olin's Theater Club), Engineering Discovery (Working with local elementary school students), 3D printing, playing basketball, playing ukulele and snowboarding.
What is your favorite thing about Olin?
I think the best thing about Olin is its collaborative community. Olin promotes a very enjoyable and comfortable environment to learn in. I personally know all of my professors and students in my class and I love the fact that I am not afraid to ask for help when I'm struggling. Olin's collaborative community sets it apart from other engineering schools. Olin students learn in a challenging, but highly supportive environment which allows us to learn with a lot less stress than students in other highly competitive schools.
